This is Vivere. A soft horror comic with underground societies, laboratories isolated in the deep North and a mysterious menace stalking the wilds. This material is the result of two semesters worth of development and research, in addition to the years I'd spent beforehand with these characters and their world.

 

I made Vivere with the intention of providing readers with more stories that did not revolve solely around romance or the subject's experience as a queer person. I set it within the horror genre to both create more variety within LGBTQ+ stories, but also to pay testament to the work Horror has made to both ostracize as well as connect members of the queer community with cathartic and relatable narratives.

Vivere is an ongoing passion project, and my thesis has created the foundation for me to fully realize this story and where all it can go from here.
